Supporting Communities in 2009

  • Transcom employees and stakeholders raised over €160,000 to support communities affected by the L’Aquila earthquake in Italy in April 2009 and the tropical storms that affected the Philippines in September.
  • In North America our employees raised over €75,000 to support charities including the Canadian Cancer Society, The Salvation Army, The Cerebral Palsy Association of Canada, Women in Crisis and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
  • In the Philippines employees donated 3,490 hours to voluntary charitable projects as part of our ‘Transcom Cares’ initiative.
  • In Germany a temporary art exhibition in our Rostock Centre raised awareness of the SOS care home for the handicapped and our employees donated €2,500 to the charity.
  • In Estonia our colleagues took part in a program to collect warm clothing, for donation to homeless shelters in the city of Tallinn.
